This past Saturday’s UFC 139 undercard match between our friend Wanderlei Silva and fellow MMA elder statesman (and actor) Cung Le was widely predicted to be the swan song loss for the aging Silva, whose previous bout was an almost comically short defeat at the hands of Chris Leben by knockout 27 seconds into the first round. Instead, Silva showed more than a few glimpses of the power and poise that has made him one of the most popular MMA fighters of all-time in his second round TKO of a bloodied Cung Le. In typical War Wand fashion, Silva couldn’t help but crack a few jokes at Le’s expense in the post-fight interview, telling MMA Heat’s Karen Bryant that he did Le a “favor” by breaking his nose, making the actor, who is set to play the leading role in the upcoming Dragon Eyes also starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, look like a “real” fighter. As proud sponsors of Wanderlei Silva’s WAND Fight Team, we’ve had the good fortune to sponsor some amazing fighters over the last few years, but Vitor Vianna is shaping up to be one of the best. Check this video of his recent victory over Bryan Baker in last weekend’s Bellator 54 and you’ll see what we mean. Word to Vitor for repping TruckerDeluxe.com on his trunks and we’ll definitely be pulling for him when he fights for the middleweight championship November 19th!
Taking the spot of an injured Vitor Belfort, our good friend Wanderlei Silva is set to go up against Vietnamese kickboxing specialist Cung Le on November 19th in San Jose, CA as part of UFC 139. The change, which was announced by UFC president Dana White this morning via Twitter, will pit two of the UFC’s marquee names in something of a hometown bout for Le, who is from San Jose. However, there’s no question who we’re backing in the fight: WAR WAND MOTHERFUCKERS!
As proud sponsors of UFC legend Wanderlei Silva’s WAND Fight Team, we root for our fighters win, lose or draw. Of course we always like it when they win, which it seems like they usually do. The latest WAND fighter to come out on top is Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert Vitor Vianna, who fought Sam Alvey at last weekend’s Bellator 50 Championships and came away with a 3-round decision. Congrats Vitor! His next fight is slated for October 15th in Atlantic City for Bellator 54. We’ll be watching.
You may have wondered, at some point while perusing this website, if the dudes who run it ever get tired of photographing, staring at and otherwise living, eating, sleeping and breathing nothing but other dudes 24/7. And the answer is: uhhh, yeah. So we decided to change things up from the usual meats and get a super hot girl in barely any clothes in the studio to model some of our new gear, and we liked it so much, that we decided we need to do it more often. A LOT more often. Check out the lovely Kristiana, above, in the new JSLV Squared Patch Snap-Back hat and the Second Sunday J Woven in Navy Chambray. While she was here, we also took the opportunity to use her, uhhh, natural gifts to join B-Dawg in giving a shout out to the homie Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva, who’s fighting tomorrow night in UFC 132. Check it out below, and if you know a girl who looks good in guys clothes (and really, who doesn’t) tell her to give us a shout and we’ll put her ass to good use. Literally.
We’re pretty damn excited about UFC 132 around here. Not only is our friend and regular visitor to TruckerDeluxe HQ Wanderlei Silva set to make his UFC comeback against Chris Leben, but FORM Athletics fighter and fellow Northern Californian, Urijah Faber is also squaring up against Dominick Cruz. To mark the event, FORM Athletics has released new Urijah Faber Walk-Out shorts, which are now available at TruckerDeluxe.com, along with a full compliment of FORM Athletics MMA signature apparel from Jon Jones, Mark Munoz as well as Urijah Faber, like the UFC 128 Walk Out Shirt (below). Whether you’re a fighter, a lover, or just a fight lover, check out FORM Athletics clothing on TruckerDeluxe.com.
As proud sponsors of UFC legend Wanderlei Silva’s Las Vegas-based WAND Fight Team, we stand behind them win or lose, but we always like it when they win. Which they usually do. Makes it pretty easy! This time around, it was MMA and Muay Thai expert Jorge Lopez defeating the curiously-monikered Waachiim Spiritwolf by unanimous decision at last weekend’s Tachi Palace Fights 9. Thanks to Jorge for repping TruckerDeluxe and congrats on the victory!
As part of our continuing partnership with Wanderlei Silva’s WAND Fight Team, we’re proud to welcome WAND Fight Team’s Pete Martin to our stable of sponsored fighters. Check out the video above to get to know Pete and learn more about his upcoming fight this Saturday, April 9th in Cleveland. It was also announced yesterday that the man himself, Wanderlei Silva, will be making his return to the ring this summer, July 2nd at UFC 132 against Chris Leben, which will also feature Urijah Faber fighting Dominick Cruz for the bantamweight title. There will no doubt be an incoming shitstorm of walkout shirts, cornerman shirts, fight shorts and all manner of other associated swag coming soon, so we’ll be keeping you posted. In the meantime, you can find an assortment of MMA related gear including Faber’s own FORM Athletics on your friendly neighborhood TruckerDeluxe.com.
As part of our continuing collaboration with our friend Wanderlei Silva’s WAND Fight Team, we’re somewhat literally sponsoring WAND fighter Dave “The Pain Train” Mazany‘s ass in tomorrow’s Aggression MMA Fight Card in Edmonton. If you’re a Canadian you can watch the fight on Score, and see our name emblazoned across the back of Mazany’s trunks, as shown above. Otherwise, we’ll definitely be keeping you posted on the result. Good luck Dave!!
