Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen Von Zipper sunglasses, since they’re pretty much the standard bearer for California cool when it comes to the eyewear world. What you might not be as familiar with however, is Von Zipper’s line of legit men’s apparel. Our latest shipment of Von Zipper clothing for summer 2011 includes their super solid Kelly Raglan shirt (above in Blue, also available in Natural and Grey Heather), a tri-blend baseball tee with raglan sleeves, as well as the vintage inspired Red Skin t-shirt (below). If you’ve been looking for some badass gear to match your badass Von Zipper shades, check out Von Zipper clothing at TruckerDeluxe.com.
As you may have noticed, we got nothin’ but love for California surfstyle mavens AMBSN. After all, how could you not love dudes who aren’t afraid to mash together bright, bold colors with reckless abandon? But with our latest shipment of AMBSN tees and tanks for summer, we found out that, like Old Dirty Bastard, AMBSN also likes it raw, as exhibited by their super dope Raw Tank Top, a 100% cotton tank with raw seams and a refreshingly demure style, at least insofar as bright blue can be demure (also: I realize I just used “demure” and “insofar” in a sentence about tank tops, but what are you gonna do?). If you’re you’re looking for something a little less raw and a little more rad, check out Uppers T-shirt, a 100% cotton tee with contrast chest pocket. Or if you’re feeling AMBITIOUS (<—see what I did there??) check out our full collection of AMBSN for summer 2011 on TruckerDeluxe.com and get some color in your otherwise dull, meaningless life.
With summer in full swing, we’re getting tons of new sunglasses in stock, because if there’s one thing no self-respecting dude should be without in the summer sun it’s a pair of decent shades. And, in our learned opinion, some of the most decent shades on the market come courtesy of our friends at Von Zipper, who’ve been keeping California shady for years. The two new styles of Von Zipper Sunglasses online today include the retro-fabulous Decco shades (above in Tortoise/Bronze, also available in Black Satin/Grey and Black Gloss/Grey) and the more contemporary but no less badass Drydock Sunglasses (below in Black Gloss/Grey, also available in Tort/Bronze). But that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to our selection of not just Von Zipper, but also sunglasses from Sabre Vision, Electric and more. Check out all of our legit men’s sunglasses at TruckerDeluxe.com.

If you’re looking for an even cleaner look, The Hundreds Basically t-shirt (below) in white is the prototypical white summer tee, with multi-color Hundreds graphic up front and bomb logo hit around back, basically, a badass shirt. By virtue of our base of operations here in sunny crazy, raining, Biblical-flooding California, our tastes at TruckerDeluxe tend to skew towards the nebulous West Coast ideal of style. But you have to recognize game wherever game lies, and New York-based 10Deep is definitely one of the hotter brands to come off our either coast in a minute. Our selection of 10Deep for spring includes another of their always stellar New Era fitteds, the Wing’d Victory hat (above) and a handful of premium tees, including the Script Work t-shirt (below) and the Home Abroad t-shirt (bottom). If you’re a West Coast cat looking to change up your game or just an aficionado of dope streetwear check out 10Deep on TruckerDeluxe.com.
You know how old people always warn you that things on the internet are “forever”; that you’ll never be able to escape those pictures of you getting absolutely blacked out drunk that your friends post on their Facebook walls and that someday “you’ll be sorry” when you’re trying to run for governor of California and all these old pictures of you grabbing girls asses and doing stupid shit are there on the internet for people to find? Well, check out this old video footage of two-term California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger partying in Rio for Carnival, talking about how much he loves asses and mulattoes, molesting dancers and getting wasted and take solace in the fact that this dude shot ‘roids into his cock, smoked weed on camera, and basically partied harder in his day than you or your friends could ever hope to, and still somehow convinced old white people that he was a proper steward of the world’s seventh largest economy. Dream big!
Hawaiian surfing legend Sion Milosky was killed last night off the coast of California while surfing the notoriously dangerous Mavericks surf break off Half Moon Bay just north of San Francisco. Witnesses say that Milosky had ridden six or seven waves when he wiped out and got pinned down by consecutive waves. Milosky was jsut last month named North Shore Underground Surfer of the Year, and used part of the $25k prize to travel to Mavericks this last weekend. He leaves behind a wife and two kids. Volcom has set up a fund to collect donations for the Milosky family which you can find here.
The tsunami generated by last night’s 8.9 (they’re now saying it was 9.0) earthquake off the coast of Japan, hit California early this morning, and despite ample warning, a Northern California man who was trying to take pictures of the surge was swept out to sea, along with three other people in harbor town of Crescent City, CA. Of course the damage to California, Hawaii and other Pacific coast regions pales in comparison the the damage sustained by Japan. The tsunami created a 33-foot high tsunami that washed away basically anything in it’s path: people, buildings, cars. The death toll is currently expected to exceed 1000, while the damage is already in the billions and growing. You can see some of the raw footage of the quake and it’s aftermath below.
…meanwhile in San Francisco, tourist shirt vendors never pass up a chance to make a quick buck.
