Our homie Mickey Avalon is back with a new video for “More Junk” the latest track off his new record, Loaded, set for release next month. Though there’s an edited version out there, you can check the NSFW (unless you work at Trucker, natch) version above but hurry! It’ll probably get pulled from YouTube soon. The video features Mickey doing what Mickey does with Playboy TV host Randi Wright and pornstar Kayla Carrera amongst other scantily clad young women.

Skrillex used to be known around here as “that guy with the crazy robot music” that the kids in the store listened to all day. But it seems like both Skrillex and dubstep, the variety of chopped and screwed electro music he helped popularize, are quickly segueing into the mainstream. And not only does he seem to be popping up everywhere these days, but every time he does, it seems like he’s wearing one of our favorite brands. Robot music or not, dude certainly has some style, and that style was in full effect at last night’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, where Skrillex took home a couple trophies for his trouble, and repped a few more of our favorite brands with his Sabre Sunglasses, his Wesc jacket, a pair of Creative Recreation shoes and his trademark Falling Whistles necklace.
Say what you will about dubstep, but you can’t deny that Skrillex is one of the hottest names in music right now. He was featured on the front page of the New York Times arts section today and along with his trademark flowing locks and oversized frames, he was rocking a Falling Whistle necklace. For those unaware, Falling Whistles is a company dedicated to bringing attention to the plight of children soldiers in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with proceeds from the sale of every whistle going towards programs aimed to help end the war. Check out Falling Whistles online at TruckerDeluxe, including the Original Falling Whistle in Chrome, below.
To help introduce their 2012 OTW collection, Vans Shoes announced the addition of two new OTW Advocates, Lupe Fiasco and Chris Kong who joined advocates Eric Elms and Dmitri Costa for the spring launch last night in Berlin . Check the video above and check out selection of Vans OTW shoes and clothing, including the Cobern ( in full grain leather black/wine below) at TruckerDeluxe.com.
Usually our bands of the day are “honored” thusly in recognition of a new record coming out, a show coming through town or some of other event worth marking. But today we don’t care about any of that shit. Today we’re listening to Slayer, not because it’s the hottest new thing or to get up on the latest trends, but because we’re old and we like metal that sounds like the dudes playing it want to hurt you and your family. When was the last time you listened to Slayer? If your answer is anything other than “I’m listening to Slayer RIGHT NOW” you need to turn off whatever bullshit dubstep or intelligent hip-hop garbage you’re listening to and listen to Slayer. Or don’t. But don’t blame us when you wake up one morning and realize that your life is hollow and meaningless.
The full line-up for this year’s Coachella music festival was officially released today and it’s the wet dream of any kid who was a teen or twentysomething in the late ’90s. Alongside headliners Radiohead, Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre, two seminal late-90s rock bands have announced long-awaited reunions for the festival: mythical Swedish hardcore band Refused and equally lauded post-core outfit At the Drive-In. Add to that sets by Neutral Milk Hotel’s Jeff Mangum, Oasis’ Noel Gallagher and prescient ’90s shoegazers Mazzy Star and this year’s Coachella encompasses the whole spectrum of late-’90s musical awesomeness.

Oakland based clothing company Teruo Artistry has released an updated version of their original Ice Cube / Oakland Raiders mash-up t-shirt, which is by far the single most requested, called/emailed/facebook-ed about t-shirt in the history of t-shirts. The new verion of the Teruo “Ice” t-shirt features the same original graphic depicting rapper Ice Cube as the iconic Oakland Raiders’ pirate, but with a few new twists, including a bandana concealing Cube’s true identity (which probably isn’t an accident) and some upgraded styling on both the front and reverse. Check out this shirt and our entire selection of mens Teruo clothing online at TruckerDeluxe.com.
