  • New Today: HUF Summer 2013 Footwear

HUF Hufnagel Pro Shoes at Trucker

Though coming up big in the streetwear world, San Francisco's HUF is at heart a skate brand, and nowhere is this more evident than their footwear collection. The HUF shoes Summer 2013 collection includes the Hufnagel Pro shoes (above), the signature kicks of founder and namesake Keith Hufnagel, which maintain the classic skate silhouette with a lightweight cupsole and denim/leather upper. Heavier on the skate tech is another signature style, Joey Pepper's Pepper Pro shoes (below) which feature a vulcanized rubber sole with double-taping reinforcement around toewrap, extra-durable suede toecap and ollie & heel panels, canvas sidewalls, woven nylon sidewall detail, perforated toecap and mesh interior lining and padded ankle cuff support along with Pepper's trademark Deer logo branding. • Queens of the Stone Age "I Appear Missing" Video

Our house favorite band, Queens of the Stone Age, have dropped the first song from their upcoming new record, ...Like Clockwork, due in stores June 4th. The song "I Appear Missing" and its accompanying and requisitely trippy video also mark Queens of the Stone Age's first reunion with former Nirvana drummer and head Foo Fighter Dave Grohl, who drummed on their 2002 album Songs for the Deaf, and covered the drum tracks for the majority of ...Like Clockwork following the dismissal of drummer Joey Castillo. Replacing Castillo permanently behind the kit in Queens is former The Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore, who also appears on a track on the record and should, judging by his catalog (and seeing him live with TMV) be a fittingly beastly substitute for both Castillo and Grohl. The album also, interestingly enough for music nerds like yours truly, will be dropping courtesy of Matador Records, the uber-indie label known as the home for such legendary spock rockers as Yo La Tengo, Ted Leo, Pavement, Interpol and Cat Power. Queens of the Stone Age, fashionable indie rockers? Works for me.

  • Vans Surf Summer '13 Flip Flop Sandals

Vans Chandler Sandals Khaki/Blanket at Trucker

Even in the deep recesses of Northern California, where the beach is a good half-days drive away, when summer starts hitting, a pair of solid flip flops isn't just a good idea, its an obligation. Around here, dudes even wear flip-flops well into the winter, with jeans, with suits; there's a few dudes I know that wore flip-flops at their wedding, and I'd imagine will probably wear them to their funeral. And why not? Flip-flops are like the boiled down essence of a shoe, the least shoe-like shoe possible. But that being said, there's still a world of difference between good flip-flops and bad. Maybe you've never indulged in a decent pair of flip-flops. Maybe you've never indulged in flip-flops at all. Maybe you indulge in both on the reg, and are just looking for your next victim. Whatever the case, you definitely won't go wrong with a pair of Vans Surf flip flops. Like their skate shoes, sneakers, clothing, and pretty much anything else they put their name on, Vans flip-flops are crafted not just for solid style but for ultimate comfort. If you're into the classic leather look, the Chandler Sandals (above in Khaki Blanket) feature the leather upper with manmade sole and beach-appropriate woven blanket detailing. For maximum comfort, the Nexpa Sandals (below in Black/Blue) feature Vans PLUSfoam footbed, for an ultra-cushioned ride all summer long. • New Today: Stance Socks for Summer 2013

Stance Fourth American Flag Socks at Trucker

One of the most welcome trends in the mens casual fashion scene these days is the idea that socks don't just have to be the boring slab of fabric between your pants and your shoes. They can, and should be well-made, impeccably styled and, when in doubt, a great way of spicing up otherwise standard outfits. One of the leaders in this most recent trend, especially in the skate/surf world are Stance, whose summer delivery finds their usual smattering of bold striped and patterned socks, like the American Flag-pattern Fourth Socks (above) high-performance skate socks and a healthy dose of fun, like the Wu Tang Socks (below) featuring the iconic Wu-Tang Clan Logo on Killah Bee colored black/yellow combed cotton socks. Find these and the more from Stance Socks' Summer 2013 Collection online now at Trucker.
