Though coming up big in the streetwear world, San Francisco's HUF is at heart a skate brand, and nowhere is this more evident than their footwear collection. The HUF shoes Summer 2013 collection includes the Hufnagel Pro shoes (above), the signature kicks of founder and namesake Keith Hufnagel, which maintain the classic skate silhouette with a lightweight cupsole and denim/leather upper. Our house favorite band, Queens of the Stone Age, have dropped the first song from their upcoming new record, ...Like Clockwork, due in stores June 4th. The song "I Appear Missing" and its accompanying and requisitely trippy video also mark Queens of the Stone Age's first reunion with former Nirvana drummer and head Foo Fighter Dave Grohl, who drummed on their 2002 album Songs for the Deaf, and covered the drum tracks for the majority of ...Like Clockwork following the dismissal of drummer Joey Castillo. Replacing Castillo permanently behind the kit in Queens is former The Mars Volta drummer Jon Theodore, who also appears on a track on the record and should, judging by his catalog (and seeing him live with TMV) be a fittingly beastly substitute for both Castillo and Grohl. The album also, interestingly enough for music nerds like yours truly, will be dropping courtesy of Matador Records, the uber-indie label known as the home for such legendary spock rockers as Yo La Tengo, Ted Leo, Pavement, Interpol and Cat Power. Queens of the Stone Age, fashionable indie rockers? Works for me.

For their summer lookbook, San Francisco skate brand HUF took an pretty ingenious tactic, taking what at first appear to be static still shots and animating them as Tumblr ready GIFs. Even in the deep recesses of Northern California, where the beach is a good half-days drive away, when summer starts hitting, a pair of solid flip flops isn't just a good idea, its an obligation. For summer, they've dropped a few new prints. Appealing to our undying love for anything Ancient Aliens related, the Anubis print features a variety of Egyptian hieroglyphs and iconography and is available as both a 5-panel strapback (above) and a button-up short sleeve shirt (below). One of the most welcome trends in the mens casual fashion scene these days is the idea that socks don't just have to be the boring slab of fabric between your pants and your shoes. They can, and should be well-made, impeccably styled and, when in doubt, a great way of spicing up otherwise standard outfits.
